Blood Clot
This message is a email forward i received. Hope it will be useful for every one.
STROKE IDENTIFICATION:
During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) .she said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes.
They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening
Ingrid's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00 pm Ingrid passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some don't die. they end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.
RECOGNIZING A STROKE
Thank God for the sense to remember the '3' steps, STR . Read and Learn!
Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.
Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:
S *Ask the individual to SMILE.
T *Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently)
(i.e. It is sunny out today.)
R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.
If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency number immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.
New Sign of a Stroke -------- Stick out Your Tongue
NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue.. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other, that is also an indication of a stroke.
A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved.
I have done my part. Will you?

Smart ULIP Policies
In Todays world every one is afraid on the performance of the Share Market. Every one is totally confused how the share market behaves.
People no longer think , investing in ULIP is a smart move as the changes are eratic.
For a common man understanding i will explain how the ULIP policies work.Let us assume some one invests Rs 1,00,000 in a ULIP policy. for easy calculation if 100% of his investment is invested in a market. If the Net Asset Value(NAV) is 10, He will be allotted 10,000 shares.
This money will be invested in various shares in different sectors. When there is a boom in the market the NAV increases and when the market crashes the NAV value decreases.
At the time of with drawal, if the NAV is 25. The investor gets advantage. If the Market cashes the NAV is low so he or she looses.
So every one is worried about investing in ULIP. As there is no gaurantee for profits.
TATA AIG has come up with a Smart ULIP Policy. It is called TATA AIG Life InvestAssure Apex.
The salient features of the policy is that
* One has to pay premium for only three years
* Minimum amount to start is Rs 1 Lakh
* This Plan is for 10 Years.
* The minimum sum assured is 5 times the first investment
* The Maximum sum assured is 60 times the first investment
The difference between this policy and the others is that. Every month 10th they record the NAV value, for the whole of 10 years there will 100 readings for the NAV value recorded.
When the policy matures the customer get the returns for the Maximum NAV recorded among the 100 readings.
So it is a win win situation for the investor.
It is close ended Policy . One can join before 18th March 2008.

Maha Shiva Rathiri Shivalaya Yatra - 23rd Feb 2009
A team of 231 Hindu Devotees have visited Shivalaya Temples in and around Chennai on the Eve of Maha Shiva Rathiri on 23d Feb 2009.
This is the 15th Year in a row that a team of energetic young Hindu devotees visited the Temples.
Shri Rama Gopalan, State Organiser Hindu Munnani was present in the Shivalaya Proceedings.
The Temples that were visited are
1.Mannurpet,Padi,Malayalathaman Koil
2.Padi, Thiruvaleeswarar Temple
3.Villivakam, Agatheeswarar Temple
4.Ayanavaram, Kasi Vishwanathar Temple
5.Purasawalkam,Shivan Temple
6.Sowcarpet, Ekamabareshwarar Temple
7.Parrys,Broadway, Chennamalleswarar Temple
8.Mylapore, kapaleeshwarar Temple
9.Vadapalani,Sri Venkateshwarar Temple
10.Koyambedu,Kurungaleeshwarar Temple

The Young Hindu Youths went to the temple and performed Bhajans, Distributed palmlets describing the Current anti Hindu povaction by the media and the Politicians.
They also sold books on Ramayana
