Agnes Emergency Light when fully charged (usually you need to charge for 10 to 12 hours for the first time). It will give 10 hours of non stop light. It uses LED for illumination.

It is actually tested for our scenario . The Emergency light which was charged 8 months back and is in shelf when used works fine.

I have personally seen the product, it illuminates a room which 10 feet long. You can read and work on laptop with ease using this Emergency Light.

Another feature which interested me is the Anti Earth Quake design. For the past few years, Nethrodaya has been conducting a "Visually Impaired Achievers Award Celebrations" to honor the brilliant and outstanding visually impaired students of Tamil Nadu who have excelled in their Board Examinations in classes 10 and 12. This year again, we will be honoring those students who despite their visual impairment and their underprivileged backgrounds have overcome all obstacles and proven their strength and talent in their studies. We will facilitate the students who have scored over 1000 in their 12th exams and 450 in their 10th exams with prize money of Rs. 5000 each along with a Certificate and a medal. The celebration is aimed at creating awareness by showcasing their academic triumphs and importance of education in the lives of the visually impaired to ensure that they pursue their higher education, which would help them in scaling greater heights.
