Engineering Coaching Classes – a Review

Well, when I was a kid I was staying in an Employees Quarters were there is 30 blocks and 200 houses. I think it was in 1990 then, there was not even one Engineering graduate in the whole 200 houses. But now in 2008 there is not even one house that do not have an Engineer (not just diploma, I mean BE and B Tech) today.

Thanks for the Engineering colleges, when I did Engineering in 1990. There was one Anna University , a dozen DOTE 1 (Directorate of Technical Education) Colleges, DOTE 1 Colleges mean the Engineering Colleges run by the state Government itself. And 2 or 3 dozen DOTE 2 colleges. DOTE 2 colleges mean Colleges run by private firms.

When I was studying we were eagerly waiting for the study holidays, as we do seriously look in to the books only then. We do group study usually we had 5 units each carry 20 marks. So if we read 2 set of question papers prior to that semester, one can be rest assured that he can come in flying colors. We were so lazy that we five friends just study just one unit and the rest will be taught among ourselves.90% of the time the questions are asked only from the past 2 years question papers.

Today’s students are very blessed there are many Engineering Coaching Centers available in Chennai today. I personally know one of the Institute it is called TRIJAI CENTUM COACHING, it is located in Anna Nagar, Chennai, India. They give coaching for all the subjects in all the disciplines of Engineering, namely computer science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical ,Civil, Information Technology and many other Disciplines of Engineering.

They charge Rs 3500/- to Rs 4500/- per student per subject. Classes are conducted by the Lecturers and Professors from various colleges. They have about 100 + lecturers already in their coaching center. The student has the facility to take the fast track or normal track as per his wish. There is a facility of one student one faculty system. They also have Home Tuition facility. This can be availed in case students cannot go to the center.
