Holi is celebrated through out India today.
Today is also Panguni Utharam (பங்குனி உத்தரம்) for Hindus.
Good Friday for Christians.
Milad-Un-Nabi for Muslims.
It is new year day for Parsi's.
More over it is full moon day (பௌர்ணமி), so it is the day when hindu devotees go to Girivalam (கிரிவலம்) at Thiruvanamalai.
To the best of my knowledge i have never seen festivals of three religions celebrated on the same day.if any one reading this blog remember few occasions like this before let me know.

The most important for us is it is a Govt Holiday .
Holiday for 3 days in a row (Friday,Saturday & Sunday).
